The Story about the campout for tickets and accounts of the game (as a whole)
camping out, the list

-- Our group started camping out Monday evening at 630pm. The night was very quiet and only one other group joined our group that night.
I brought my gear (tent, sleeping bag, thermal mat) at 800am Tuesday morning. While I personal did not stay out Monday night, our group decided we would trade off much like the students at Penn State did for the PSU vs OSU (Ohio State Univ.) game. The reason was because I had a midterm that I was up until 2am getting ready for (in the computer lab). ANYWAY!!!
Tuesday 'day' went well. around 400pm I notice many people setting up tents, at that time I suggested that we put tape on the doors of the tents with the amount of people and tickets that they would be getting, so that people in the back of the line would not get stuck out all night, and not get a ticket. Sure I was the front of the line, but I knew that if I was in the back I would want someone to do the same for me, and as a 'frontliner' maybe people would listen to me ... dono it was worth a try.
I had to leave to go to a board meeting so, I left and returned around 730pm .. At that time, people had talked about the idea I mention before taking off... and they came up with writing numbers on peoples hands and making a list. I of course supported it, but I wanted to allow people to show up that where missing from their groups.... or problems could have occurred.
I suggested that we do a run through to let people know ... that happened at 800pm ish
at that time I let the others go with the list and make it .. I popped in a few times to see how things were going, but I mostly went from 'home to home' talking to all of my new neighbors. I found everyone to be very approachable and enjoyed talking to them
once 11pm came .... I got my number (3,4) (also got an affiliate ticket as I did all season long, that is why I had two numbers)
I talked a little more and helped the numbers be placed with some of the troubled people (they must have promised a place in line for someone who was not there), but that had two previous warnings so the 11 o'clock should have been no surprise... the back of the line was very happy!
I then went to bed, I was very warm, but the spirits were flowing and people had gotten loud .. I did fall asleep though.
I awoke to my friend Alex Babinin peeking into our tent telling me that everyone was headed in for the tickets... as he jolted me awake ... I thought the ticket office was selling the tickets, and I was missing out. I ran inside to find that just that Gill had been opened and that people wanted to get warm...At this point I could not go back to sleep because I had been jolted awake. I will say I was much warmer in my tent then Gill was warm.. I have a very nice cold weather bag and I wanted to stay in it.

So, as the hours rolled on to the ticket sales questions about the list came up .. like 'is it going to work' and more of the same. People were unsure if we would be able to enforce it .. once the ticket office people showed up I talked to them right away... they liked the Idea of the list, but they said that they would not enforce it WE would have to do it... so we self policed ourselves. it went very well with only one guy causing problems, (he had number 190 ish and wanted to get his ticket so he could get to class) he never let up and pushed his way into the 30 or so spot .... I turned out that this did not cause a problem because about 10-15 people let that night (I HAVE NO IDEA WHY) After I got my ticket I turned around and help manage the line ... I took off my shirt to lighten the mood in the line and to show that I am a BEAVER for life (tattoo) ... the List worked and I went home to bed.

The game ...

we arrived at about 1030 into autzen(sp) stadium parking lot. I had never been there so with my shirt off we walked around the entire stadium to get a look at everything. We then went looking for OSU tailgates, but found just platypuses (not sure on spelling) duck and Beavers tailgating together. at the first on we were there for about an hour and then more of the duck fans joined that group and one came over and asked us to leave ... (take this link to see the interview I did at that point ..
http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/multimedia/index.ssf?mm_11civw120

The media keep following us ... and interviewing me (the tattoo) and I have grown a custom to this and will respond to their questions. We then left and walk talking to some duck fans and then we found another platypuses group. the Beav fan were welcoming, but after about 30 mins one duck fan asked us to leave, so we did.

we then started talking to duck fan's and got into some great talks with them ... lots of people wanted pictures with me and I did them ... always acting like I would not touch them!! ... after thinking about it I realized that the duck fans where very rude for the most part only a few people that were had on green and yellow, actually were sound minded people..Now I know it could have been the alcohol but it did not seem that way.

into the game ... more rudeness but at a much greater scale. I can see "funning" around but the thing those people said drunk or not (and did) does not go very far with me .... most of the comments showed me that those duck fan were also not very football smart .... Understanding the game and enjoying it ... Is different then just understanding the final score ... there football team also was a disappointment, by running up the score in the forth ... by using their starters and passing the football. People may ask what about the Beavs 50-21 score .. and I would let them know that we scored only 3 field goals in the 4th ...and had the non-starters in the game...
So all in all please know that this is for entertainment and the Universities work together .... but not on the field ....
